The Broad Peak credit process is made up of two major elements:
- A “Top Down” macro analysis examining market conditions, political risks, legal environment and economic factors within the relevant jurisdictions.
- A “Bottom Up” micro analysis examining transaction structure, collateral quality, issuer strength, market position, relative value and liquidity.
As a credit- centric investor, Broad Peak insists on a high level of transparency from all issuers and will only approve a transaction if sufficient levels of detailed, up to date information are available for the firm to complete its credit process satisfactorily.
All credit investments are approved by the Broad Peak Finance Credit Committee. The committee is made up of the core management team and includes the head of portfolio management, head of client services and head of business management. All investment approvals by the committee must be unanimous.
